Camp Aftermath is a Veteran-led reintegration program for Veterans, serving military members, first responders and frontline professionals.
The program unfolds over approximately one year, combining preparation, a four- to five-day residential retreat depending on the cohort, and structured follow-up. It is peer-supported and clinically guided, and it complements, but does not replace, clinical care.

Camp Aftermath is built around three connected phases.
PHASE 1
A structured screening and suitability process helps determine whether Camp Aftermath is an appropriate fit and whether an applicant is at the right point in their journey for the program. For those moving forward, Phase 1 also includes preparation and connection, building familiarity, trust, expectations and readiness before the residential experience.
PHASE 2
The four- to five-day residential experience combines peer connection, professionally guided conversations, wellness, reflection, shared meals, ordinary time together and meaningful volunteer service. Contributing alongside others creates opportunities to reconnect with purpose, teamwork and community while building relationships that continue beyond the residential experience.
PHASE 3
Structured connection continues after participants return home. Continuity is part of the program, not an optional afterthought.
Many people from military, first responder and frontline backgrounds are used to service, teamwork and contributing to others. When that role changes, some can experience a sense of disconnection from purpose or community.
Camp Aftermath uses meaningful, structured volunteer service as a way for participants to contribute again alongside others and rebuild a sense of connection and belonging.
This happens within a clinically guided program, alongside peer connection, professional guidance, reflection, wellness and long-term continuity. Volunteerism is not therapy and does not replace clinical care. It is one part of a broader program built around identity, purpose, belonging and connection.
The residential retreat is one part of a longer program. Connection begins before participants arrive and continues well after they return home, carrying momentum from the retreat into everyday life.
Participants can expect to show up as themselves, in a community that shares real experience. Camp Aftermath makes room for honest conversation and reflection, ordinary time together, and meaningful volunteer service alongside peers. The goal is to help rebuild connection, purpose and momentum, and to remain part of a community that continues after the residential experience ends.
